Lin-Manuel Miranda and Vanessa Nadal Are Expecting Baby No. 2. They are quite romantic.
During his acknowledgment speech at the 2016 Tonys, Miranda read aloud a sonnet he wrote to his accomplished wife.
“She’s only the reason anything gets done.
She pokes me towards promise by degrees
She is a superb symphony of one
Our kiddo is her most beautiful reprise
We chase the lyrics that seem to find us
Until they’re polished songs and start to play
When senseless drama of tragedy remind us
That nothing here is guaranteed, not one day
This show is remark that history remembers
We are living through times when hate and fear seem stronger
We climb and decline and light from dying embers
Trophies that hope and love last longer
And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love
Cannot be destroyed or swept aside
I sing Vanessa’s symphony, Eliza will tell her story
Now fill the globe with music, love, and pride.”
