Riley Bryant Smith is an American movie actor and musician who was born on April 12, 1978. Riley Smith is also a member of the band called The Life of Riley. He has been active in the acting field since 1998.

Early life and education

Riley Smith was born on April 12, 1978, in Iowa, United States. His mother name is Russ Smith and his father name is Roxanne Smith.  Smith was born in Iowa. Smith was raised on his horse ranch in Marion, Iowa. When Smith was nine years old, he competed for the first time in his hometown horse riding show, since he became a good horse rider.  At the age of fifteen, he competed in a Horse Riding World Championship and came 4th in the competition. When Smith was 16 years old, Smith won the Horse Riding World Championship. Smith became the resident of the  youth association at the age of 17. Smith became the youngest to become a vice corresponding president of the American Youth Association.

Smith attended a school in Iowa and in 1997 graduated from the high school. Smith wanted to join college to earn a degree to cover his horse riding but he was seen in a Mall by an agency in Cedar Rapids when he went there with his friends. He, then, went to compete at the International Modeling and Talent Association Convention in the New York City. Smith was discovered by Tommy Hilfiger and was signed in the brand modeling campaign. The money Smith got by modeling in their campaign, he used it to pay for his acting lessons.

Smith went to California after three months of his modeling campaign, where he auditioned for the first time for the WB pilot movie called Minor Threat in 1998. However, the pilot scenes were deleted from the movie due to some problems.
