Annika Sörenstam was born on 9th October of 1970 in Bro, Stockholm County, Sweden.  She is a Swedish born American former professional golfer and is popularly known as one of the best female golfers in history. She is also famous as the founder of ANNIKA Business brand.

Annika Sörenstam was an all-around sportsgirl. She used to play tennis, soccer and loved skiing. Later at the age of 12, she switched to golf and won several junior tournaments. After that, Annika played amateur and national tournament. In 1992, she began her professional career and played three LPGA tour reportedly earning more than $47,000. She made her first professional win in 1994, Holden Women’s Australian Open on the ALPG Tour.

At the end of 2008, the talented Annika retired from her professional golfing career. As of now, Sörenstam has won 90 International tournaments and 72 official LPGA tournament. Annika Sörenstam was born to father Tom Sörenstam and mother Gunilla Sörenstam. She was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and later moved to Tucson, Arizona, US. Her father is a retired IBM executive and mother worked in a Bank. She grew up along with her younger sister named Charlotta Sörenstam who is also a professional golfer and currently coaches at Annika’s golf academy.

Talking about Annika Sörenstam’s relationship status, She is married to her husband Mike McGee. The couple tied their wedding knot on 10th January of 2009 at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando. Mike McGee is the managing director for the ANNIKA and son of former PGA Tour and Champions Tour player Jerry McGee. The couple is blessed with two children Ava Madelyn McGee who was born on 1st September of 2009 and William Nicholas McGee born on 21st march of 2011.

Annika Sörenstam was previously married to her ex-husband David Esch. She first met her former husband in 1994 on the driving extent at Moon Valley Country Club, Phoenix, Arizona. She was an LPGA new kid on the block rehearsing for a competition. They exchanged their wedding vows on 4th January of 1997. However, their relationship couldn’t last long and got separated in 2005.
